Few words how this got going

As I moved to USA some five years ago I remember being initially shocked by the cubicle-eating-engineer culture of Silicon Valley. Sure it's productive to keep coding while stuffing your mouth with a greasy slice of pizza but where's the fun for me to learn about new things, meet new people, get introductions or overall have an aspect of social workplace. So.. I made a "Suomi-Email" list at my workplace to cover some communication that initially didn't draw massive audience despite being a Finnish company but at least we knew of one each other and had some monthly success of catching up. Anyways I connected the dots outside our own employees and surprise, surprise we suddenly had an audience to eat out with! Even eaters from as far as San Francisco and Palo Alto!

Since email is such a difficult format and so 90s and eventbrite and other mobile and social technologies exist, I've decided to make this eating practise bit easier and formalize to this website, first and foremost to enable some visibility who attends and bring capabilities to connect after the lunch. There's wonderful Yahoo groups, local Facebook teams as well as Google groups and this is not trying to replace any of them rather give all those athletic opportunities some reason (by consuming heavy lunches).

Where this takes place?

First lunch took place at Xanh Restaurant at downtown Mtn View which is pretty nice size place and hopefully appreciates the business we will bring them.
